Preventing Hunger,

Promoting Awareness,

Preserving Dignity.

The Welcome Inn is an ecumenical, charitable, not for profit organization that depends entirely on the help of  volunteers and the generous financial support from individuals, churches, local businesses and community organizations.

The Welcome Inn provides meals each week to people in the Central Fraser Valley. We focus our activities in order to provide meals and other services to encourage self-sufficiency, self-esteem,  and improve the quality of life of our guests. In addition, we try to inform the wider community of the needs of our guests, and advocate for resources to meet these needs.

Our mission is compassionately, and without reservation to wholeheartedly help the hurting among us - the unseen, the forgotten, and the oppressed. To share their burdens, and when necessary - bear their burdens. In return, we ask absolutely NOTHING.  Also to encourage others to do the same.

All persons work together to nurture an environment  of the utmost support, respect and dignity. Constructive and open communication is practiced to avoid and resolve conflicts. Unless there is legal obligation to report, or any overriding issues of safety/security of the Welcome Inn community, confidentiality regarding personal situations of all members of the community is strictly observed. Every effort is made to gather feedback and encourage participation from those we serve. The highest level of fiscal responsibility is exercised so that economical uses of resources provide the maximum level of services to the community. All due diligence is practiced in maintaining high health, safety, & sanitary standards for the dinners.

An atmosphere is promoted that is absolutely free from any form of discrimination based on ANY criteria - race, age, sex, religion, etc.
