An Isaiah 58 based mercy ministry

The Welcome Inn began in April 2004 as an outreach ministry of Harvest Christian Fellowship. A small weekly  study group, focusing on the Purpose Driven Life, felt a burden to aid those in the community. In the time since then, several other churches, businesses, and concerned individuals have joined us in serving dinners each week to those in the community.

Each of our guests is treated with the utmost dignity and respect. Part of that philosophy requires that a policy of NO QUESTIONS ASKED be instituted at our dinners. This allows anyone in need, entrance and acceptance. The Welcome Inn seeks to turn strangers into guests, and guests into friends, all within an atmosphere of respect and concern. We welcome our friends, and offer them whatever food we have. As far as we are concerned, whatever is available to us is subsequently available to them, since it has been purchased or donated for them. Thanks to many selfless and dedicated volunteers and staff, we also provide unconditional love. It is this "no questions asked" love, which may help our guests restore faith in themselves. It is also this unconditional friendship and respect that allows us to introduce many to Jesus Christ. We believe that a relationship with Jesus Christ is the beginning of a healing process for many individuals on the journey of self-sufficiency.  The Welcome Inn supports individuals with opportunities to receive prayer and referrals to area churches. While we gladly share the Gospel with our friends - our meals, services, and friendship are still offered with “no strings attached”.

We strive to offer a hand-up, not a hand-out. We acknowledge God as the leader of our organization. We strive to see Christ in our guests, donors, volunteers, and supporters. We strive to show Christ to the same people. We exercise good stewardship of our resources with a vision for future growth and development.
